Comparethecoffin.com Presents Award at Good Funeral Award at the Joy of Death Festival

The awards were presented as part of the Joy of Death festival held in Bournemouth, UK Steven presented the award for Funeral Celebrant of the Year with the winner being Karen Imms.

Steven gave an introduction into ComparetheCoffin.com, how it started and the thoughts that were used to create it and covered the following Topics:

• How we came to the idea for Comparethecoffin.com first as a Coffin Company and also as a Funeral Planning and comparison Website
• How Steven experienced Funeral planning with the biggest name in the business
• How the person there wants to do their plan and not listen to Steven’s ideas
• The cost and margin that was put on the coffin
• and how do you choose between funeral directors anyway – they all do the same thing don’t they
• How Steven and Charles Cowling worked together to create the text for the website and especially about setting an ‘Emotion Neutral’ tone which doesn’t presume to know how a user feels about
• and lastly the role of the Celebrant to tap into the emotions and provide an even to suits the family and person concerned
